This guitar is in fine condition, but has obviously been used plenty. Both the face of the guitar and the pickguard have consistent scratches, and there are impressions on the upper horn and lower front of the body face. Both of the tone knobs have lost their caps. The back of the neck has some light scratching, whereas the back of the body has much more significant scratching, including some deeper bucklerash. The back palate is scratched also. There are multiple dings on the back edge on the arm cut, and there is one other significant impression near the back cavity.
The Gibson SG Standard rocks the classic looks and features associated with the late 60's style SG models sought after by many. A rounded profile mahogany neck, bound rosewood fingerboard, long tenon 19th fret neck joint, and a solid mahogany body provide the backbone for singing sustain. The 490R and 490T Alnico II pickups provide the power to drive. A black, 5-ply, full-face pickguard set this SG Standard apart from others... a truly versatile classic.
