Now Hiring - Piano Department

DW Music is currently seeking an enthusiastic full-time OR part time staff member to join our piano team!

This exciting role will have a strong focus on the sale of both acoustic and digital pianos, and offers a long term career path. The successful candidate will also assist with online sales, customer support and help to create content for our online presence.

Day to day responsibilities will include;

• Serving customers in store, on the phone and via email
• Ordering stock from suppliers
• Liaising with Piano Movers and Piano Technicians
• Detailing of stock and presentation of shop floor
• Shooting and editing of promotional demonstration videos
• Managing online inventory and website design
• Managing hours for part-time members of staff (Full time role)

In order for you to be the successful applicant, we will require the following;

• A solid musical background
• A keen interest in sales
• Ability to play piano confidently and demonstrate a varied range of styles
• Knowledge of acoustic and digital pianos
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly personable and able to interact with a wide range of people
• Highly organised, punctual and demonstrates attention to detail
• Able to work effectively as a member of a team

There is an opportunity to tailor the role to the successful applicant depending on their additional skills and strengths. The following points are not essential but definitely favourable;

• Previous sales experience
• Video and/or photography experience 
• Confident in front of a camera (product demos) 
• eCommerce experience - Shopify
• Web design experience and/or training

Salary by negotiation and highly dependent on previous experience and relevant skills.
